Basic Guidelines For Safe Practices :
Minimize risk by safe laboratory practices, including use of personal protective equipment (goggles, gloves ...).

We should always be thinking of the unexpected beforehand. Let's ask ourselves
" What would I do if ..." before we start an experiment.  Most of all, let's give respect to all chemicals.
                            
OSU's Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) website is an excellent source of information on chemical disposal, hazard communication program, chemical inventory list and other important information.

The first "annual/initial" safety traing for the academic year 2009/2010 took place on Aug. 14, 2009 at 10:30 am in PS I, room 103.  Iob and Greg Hogan of EHS conducted the training. Those of you that did not have a chance to attend can participate in either the January (2010) or July meetings.Smile
